Review | MAC Patent Polish Lip Pencil

For quite some time I was looking for something casual to wear on lips as my daily routine and fortunately two weeks ago I went to Ebco for purchasing some grocery items. I pointed it on MAC's counter over there. It looked something like crayons and catch my eye. After the swatches I found it so causal as I was in search, so I grab it in shade "spontaneous ".

Packaging;

It is a fine quality plastic pencil with some traces of shimmer on it and having a plain black plastic cap on the tip. Twist-up mechanism , so no need of sharpening.

My thoughts;

It is a pinkish mauve shade with a touch of gold spark which only adds a nice shimmer.The round tip is easy to apply.

Texture is creamy and stay smooth without leaving streaks.

They are more like lip tints, perfect for my day time casual look. I use to carry it in my bag for touch-ups. 

Light weight and stay longer ,even without primer it gives pretty four hours. 

Bottom Line;

They are hydrating and non sticky at the same time. Good pigmentation and love the sheer shine .

Facial Care After Sun Exposure

Excessive sun exposure lead to an uneven complexion , wrinkles and redness. It is the fastest way to age your skin. Some people have more hyper sensitive skin which affected badly just in few minutes in sun. So today I'm going to tell you , how to minimize these effects through home remedies and get a beautiful radiant skin.

Here are some simple steps to follow 

Step One ;

As soon as you reach home after having time under sun, you should apply any of these below mentioned masks according to your skin type but before applying these masks you should do this step first.

Take one tomato,slice it and rub it all over your face to get relieve of sun burn. Wash it off after 5 minutes.

Now pick a mask of your skin type :

Mask 1: Honey Mask

Apply pure honey all over ur face or other effected areas of body as a rejuvenating mask and cleansers. Wash after 10 minutes and pat dry.

Mask 2:Termeric Mask

Turmeric powder 2-3 tablespoon

Gram flour 2-3 tablespoon 

Almond oil 1/2 tablespoon 

Cucumber juice 1tablespoon

Milk enough to form a thick paste 

Mix all these things and apply all over your face and other affected areas, let it dry for 15-20 minutes and wash it off.

Mask 3:Potato and Avacado

Take one potato and an avacado , cut them in cubes and in a blender while using little water make a paste. 

Apply all over your face and wash it off after 10 minutes.

Mask 4: Yougart and Tomato

Simply blend one tomato in a half cup of yougart and use as coolant for your face, neck or even your under arms. Wash it after 10 minutes.

Note; If irritation occurs then you should discontinue using it as the masks may not suited your skin type ( but this would be rare)

After going through step one now follow step 2

Step 2; Take Bath

It's not directly related to the facial care but after wearing those messy masks I prefer to take bath , it also minimize the sunburn effects. So here are some ideas.

Baking Soda Bath:

Add a few heap tablespoons of baking soda to cool bath water. It makes sun burns sooths any where on the body. But make sure the duration should be very short ,as for just 10-15 minutes otherwise baking soda will leaves your skin dry .

Oat Meal Bath:

Add one whole cup of oatmeal in the cool water bath tub ( don't use child water) and soak for about 15-20 minutes. It will give your skin a soothing effect.

Note;

Drink up all day long , drinking lots of water is a  key as  plenty of water reverse the effects of sunburn.

Step 3;

Apply toner;

After applying face mask and taking a good bath , now it's time to tone your face. Below are some methods to prepare toner according to your skin type.

Tomato and lemon toner:

Blend one tomato with little water, then separate the juice with the help of fine-mesh sieve.

Now add 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Apply all over the face with the help of cotton balls. It is used to shrink the pores.

Lemon toner;

Mix one table spoon of lemon juice in half cup of water. Apply with cotton ball. Wash after one hour or leave it on your skin .

Rose water and Alum toner;

Half tablespoon of Alum, half cup of rose water and 1/4 cup of glycerin. Mix them well and refrigerate . 

Mint Leaves Toner; 

This toner is very mild and works for all skin types

Take two handsfull of mint leaves.

Boil them in 1 cup of water for 1 minute. Let it cool.

Cucumber toner;

Take some water and 1cucumber , blend them. Use fine-mesh sieve to separate juice and refrigerate.

Note;

You can once make a toner, let it cool in a fridge and use it for many days.

Step 4;

Moisturize;

Use chilled moisturizers of your choice or which you always use by keeping it in fridge,immediately after your bath as sun dries out skin surface.

First of all i will like to spread light what they claim for their product

My thoughts;

Finally a BB cream which do not give me a WHITE look. It's main property is that it's formulated for "desi" complexions with yellow undertone which suits me. It has thick texture but light weight on skin. It gives radiance and matte finish, but donot gives total coverage. I apply powder over it because my skin turns super oily at the T-zone during humid summers of Karachi. It gives even tone and a very natural look.

All in all very practical for daily day time touches, as I avoid base makeup at day time in summer. Due to presence of SPF30 , I get rid of using sun screen separately.

| Review | Luscious Bold Metallic Eye Pencil

These are my first gilittery eye pencil liners .  I was looking for some change. I am not a coloured eye liner person. Normally I use to apply black or brown liners but now decided to have some funky touches, so recently bought these liners in three colours.

What I Found;

These are smooth creamy liners with very fine gilitter in it ,which did not irritates and donot spread all over the face. Pencil is of good quality with a black plastic cap. Easily sharpens.Highly pigmented. Due to the presence of glitter I am relactant to try it to the inner side of my lower lash line. I don't know why my lower outer lash line is always so watery, so none of the liners stay for so long. It makes me look so horrible after some time , so same goes with this liner too for me if used under lower lash line. Otherwise it's water proof property is good to the extent.

So the bottom line is that these are very trendy and very pocket friendly liners for all times.

Sitting in lounge waiting for my flight I just noticed a counter of Benefit Cosmetics inside the duty free. I rushed over and start swatching the blushes and finally I picked Hervana good karma!

It is in pin wheel design, having four different shades which are beige, coral, pink and  berry. When the four colours swirl together they form a beautiful peachy pink. It is a flush of enlightenment. It can be use for daily wear . Feels so light on cheeks. It is a delight for light blush colour lovers just like me. Gives a beautiful sheer pinkish coral shade , which can be paired with coral lipstick very well.

Packaging;

As all Benefit blushes,it is packed in a deep box with a small mirror.

There is a plastic insert that holds a brush. It have an angled brush with white natural hair bristles , which I never preferred to use. 

All in all it is a box of delight for me to use at home or carry in my purse. 

Longevity is for not more than 4-6 hours.

Show-up more better on lighter skin tones.

I picked it from Dubai airport's duty free for Dhs122.

| Pedicure | How To Get Best Of Your Feet At Home

Our Feet are the base on which our whole body is standing. They works more than any other body part. It's our duty to give more attention towards our feet as they needs extra pampering and relaxation and if it's done at home while using most of the ingredients right from your kitchen,it will turn more convineint and economical. Most of our ladies don't have enough time to visit spa frequently. That's why I'm giving you an idea for a perfect home pedicure. 

You can go through it while sitting on a couch of your living room watching television.

Now here we starts our pedicure.

First step; 

Soak Your feet.

First of all we need a small tub filled with Luke warm water.

Then add all these ingredients as follow:

Shampoo: six to seven drops (preferably dry hair shampoo)

Glycerin : 10 drops

Salt: 4 teaspoon

Lemon juice: squeeze a whole lemon 

Disinfectant: 2-3 drops. May be dettol.

Mix it well in the water and dip your feet for almost 15 pretty minutes.

Second Step;

Remove Dead Skin and File:

Now it's time to take your feet out of water. Use nail brush with light hands to remove dead skin from the feet.

 For cleaning heels use foot file or pumice stone, depends upon the availibility at you home. 

Now rinse your feet. Now it's time to push all that cuticle back with the help of 

Cuticle pusher.

File your nails in desired shape and length with the help of a filer (preferably the wooden one)

Step 3;

Scrubbing:

Scrub your feet with help of home made scrub. 

Sea Salt scrub:

SeaSalt  or ordinary salt 1/2 cup

Honey 2tspoon

Olive oil 4/5 drops 

Mix them well and rub all over your feet in circular motion. Rinse with plain water and pat dry.

Or 

you can make a scrub with chick pea flour ( baisan)

Simply mix chick pea flour with milk to form a thick paste apply all over the feet , leave for 2-3 minutes and rub it and clean it dry . 

These scrubs will exfoliate the skin.

Step 4;

Massage Your Feet:

We need some olive oil for massaging the feet , as it is really very good tonic for our skin . It have the properties to tighten the skin as well as gives a healthy shine. The strokes must be upwards while massage.

Step 5;

Mask:

I always prefer to use homemade mud mask ( multani mitti)

Take a little quantity as desired soak it in some water till it turns soft, mash it to form a thick paste , apply all over the feet and let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Wash it thoroughly with plain water. 

Now apply some good moisturiser and nail colour of your choice or leave after buffing them with a buffer.

Take care of your feet after all your feet are the reflection of your personality.

Review | Essence Vintage District Blush It's Popul Art

It is beautiful yet classy at same time , as it is a limited edition so  not sure for the availibility , sorry girls if you have a crush on it . 

A Few weeks ago I came upon the essence vintage district collection on display at Naheed Super Market, and I really start loving the blush at the first site.

 It's peachy coral. Might be not readily available now. It's popul-art blush. The base is peachy coral shade with quite light weight but a powdery effect with buildable property. It blends very convineintly. The bronzy gold flower is an over spray which easily disappears in one or two swipes and a darker shades comes out which is more like a rosy pink shade but still it gives a light shine on applying. I must say this colour is going to be my love this summer!

When two colour swirl together they combine to from a beautiful medium peachy pink colour. The pigmentation is excellent.

I think this is the most beautiful cheap blush ever.

My today's review is about The Body Shop's Shimmer Cube Eye Quad.

 Four shimmery colours in small cubes to creat a perfect look. Namely;

My views:

These r four velvety shades which swipes softly on the lids, giving a beautiful touch of shimmer. The colours are too good to be used on daily basis at day time or for an evening's perfect look. You can creat soft or smoky looks as desired. 

I use them like every day. They felt light on my eye lids. Highly pigmented but primer is a must ,so that they can lasts for around 7 hours .

Packaging;

Ok let's comes toward the packaging. They are four cubes with their individual pots and lids , housed in a large cube which is really unusual but at the same time it is the best thing about the quad,with individual case and lid it is a bit easy to carry the desired shade only ,not the whole quad.The thing which I don't like about the packaging is to open a small cube with your nails and it's a bit annoying for me . The product tends to comes out of their small pots but that's fine with it . 

Excellent value for money .

You can get good amount of shadow in each cube .

Tip;

Can be used wet for more enhanced colours.
